Best Places to Visit in Europe
Some people say Europe is gone. I really can’t say Europe is gone, but I must admit that the countries where the Euro rules are every day more difficult to reach if you are on a budget. In any case, there are some exceptions you should know before taking a flight to the old continent. While Western Europe and the Nordic countries are far gone with high prices, Eastern Europe has recently developed at high speed to offer good services to tourists. Probably Prague is already too exploited, but if you look at Bulgaria or Romania you will find great value for your money.

Barcelona is the capital city of the autonomous community of Catalonia in north-eastern Spain. The city rests on the Mediterranean coast and it boasts a population of 1,593,075 inhabitants. It is thought that Hamilcar Barca, father of Hannibal, the Carthaginian politician and statesman, originally founded the city. Since than, the city has been under the control of the Romans, the Visigoths, the Moors and the Napoleonic French Empire. Following the fall of Napoleon, the city was returned to Spanish rule. At the start of the 20th century, Catalan nationalists began the struggle for autonomous rule, which was finally granted in 1978 following the death of Franco.

Munich is fun. And all the beer halls are just part of the story. This modern city has a small-town Bavarian temperament, funloving locals, a great location at the foot of the German Alps and an appealing low-key approach to life. The fact that it’s home to many universities doesn’t hurt, either. Its city center is easy to explore on foot, with plenty of pedestrian-only streets and distractions for foodies and shoppers. When your feet get tired, good public transportation makes it easy to get to most of Munich’s many attractions: palaces, museums, galleries, parks and (of course) beer halls. With an impressive number of annual festivals and events (some that last for weeks), it’s likely there will be at least one during your stay-just keep an ear out for the sounds of an oompah band. Nice is in the south of France. The Queen of the French Riviera,
which the French call ” la Cote d’Azur” (AzureCoast or Blue Coast).
It is a wonderful city with lots of charm and character; a mixture of French and Italian cultures where the people are easy-going and friendly even if you don’t speak French.
Although you might think it is a summer resort, you can visit Nice at any time of the year and still have a good time.
If you happen to go in the winter, you will be surprised to see
flowers in their numerous parks and gardens. Nice has a Mediterranean winter, so the temperature stays around 40 to 50 degrees during the coldest months but if you like skiing, ski resorts such as Valberg and Isola 2000 can be reached by car in one or two hours.
If you go in the summer, get ready to share the city with lots
of tourists. The popular streets where most restaurants and cafes are, can get crowded, but they can be a lot of fun if you enjoy people watching; and since most of the streets are closed to traffic, it is not hard to just walk around and enjoy the upbeat atmosphere.
